MINSK, 29 June (BelTA) - Strengthening cooperation between Belarus and China’s Chongqing will give a new impetus to Belarusian-Chinese cooperation, Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Alesya Abramenko said at a meeting with Xu Xincheng, deputy director of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, BelTA has learned.
"In March, the leaders of our countries supported the initiative to create conditions for advanced trade and economic partnership between Belarus and the largest cities of China, in particular with the city of Chongqing. We encourage the regions to work more actively to develop complementary industrial cooperation, to promote trade, set up logistics and Chinese medicine centers and stimulate tourism. Strengthening cooperation between Belarus and Chongqing will give a new impetus to Belarusian-Chinese cooperation," Alesya Abramenko said.
The parties reached an agreement to expedite finalization and sign a joint program of practical actions to create a zone of advanced technological and economic development of Belarus with the city of Chongqing
