MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) – Heads of Belarusian and Chinese customs authorities will sign an agreement on mutual recognition of the authorized economic operator status in Beijing in late April. The draft agreement has already been approved by the parties, BelTA learned from the Belarusian State Customs Committee.
The document will ease a number of procedures for Belarusian authorized economic operators of type three and Chinese bona fide enterprises with high credibility. The implementation of the agreement will also help strengthen security of the supply chain from the sender to the recipient and help ease legal trade between Belarus and China.
The countries have been working on the agreement since 2018 when they concluded the procedure of interaction between the customs authorities of Belarus and China and approved a roadmap for concluding the agreement in question.
On 1 January 2019, the Belarusian embassy in China set up a position of the official representative of the Belarusian State Customs Committee. This was prompted by the active cooperation of the two countries, including in customs.
