MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – On 10 May Belarus and China signed agreements and memorandums worth $3.5 billion. The statement was made by Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov as he met with China President Xi Jinping on 11 May, BelTA has learned.
“Yesterday alone Belarus and China signed memorandums and agreements on credit and investment cooperation worth a total of $3.5 billion,” said the Belarusian head of government. He thanked China for the credit resources it is ready to provide. The volume of loans stands at $7 billion, with $3 billion available on preferential terms, specified the Prime Minister.
Apart from that, Andrei Kobyakov thanked the Chinese leader for the decision to allocate 800 million yuans as technical economic aid to Belarus for the sake of implementing social projects.
