MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik held talks with the largest machine-building companies of China as he visited the provinces of Zhejiang and Anhui on 25 February - 1 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian consulate in Shanghai.
The delegation includes Belarusian Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Shanghai Andrei Andreev.
The talks focused on ways of expanding Belarusian-Chinese cooperation in the manufacturing sector and science, including with the participation of the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The parties also discussed the participation of industrial and research organizations of China in projects to launch or expand Belarus’ manufacturing capabilities of electric cars and commercial vehicles, and also utility vehicles and farm machines.
