MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) - The new facility of the Belarusian-Chinese venture BelGee has started mass production of cars, Belarusian Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk told the media on 14 September, BelTA has learned.
“Mass production has already begun. We are about to complete the final testing of a series of 222 vehicles. We will not stop any more,” Vitaly Vovk remarked.
The minister did not rule out the possibility that the new cars can hit the market in November 2017. “This requires thorough preparation. The BelGee company and the plant pay great attention to corporate standards. The customers should have same access to services across the globe. We are now in talks with dealers. If they cannot provide the services now, they should guarantee to do it by the year-end. The most important thing is to meet the consumers' requirements,” Vitaly Vovk underlined.
BelTA reported earlier that the new facility near the town of Borisov will assemble 60,000 cars per annum at the first stage.
