MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov met with Chilean government officials and businessmen on 22 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Evgeny Shestakov held meetings with Edgardo Riveros, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Chile, Carlos Alvarez, Director of InvestChile, the foreign investment promotion agency of Chile, Rafael Sabat, Deputy Director of ProChile, the export promotion agency of Chile, and Paulina Nazal, Director General at the General Directorate for International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile.
“The parties discussed the prospects for expanding the bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, investment, science and technology. Special attention was paid to the signing of basic economic agreements, establishment of a bilateral commission for business cooperation, and also to the opportunities for direct collaboration between Belarusian and Chilean companies,” the press service said.
Evgeny Shestakov also met with the organizers of the International Air and Space Fair FIDAE to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration in the organization of trade shows, supplies of mining equipment, tractors and agricultural machinery, and promotion of Belarusian IT solutions on the markets of the region.
