MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has become a full fledged member of the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce. The relevant information was posted on the BCCI website, BelTA has learned.
The memorandum of cooperation between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce was signed during the visit of BCCI Chairman Vladimir Ulakhovich to Xian, China.
The BCCI Chairman took part in the Xian Silk Road Business Summit and Development and Cooperation Conference of the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce. He also talks with the Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, heads of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Israel, Palestine, Singapore and Nigeria.
The Xian summits were attended by representatives of 52 chambers of commerce and more than 500 businessmen, representatives of government bodies and diplomats from around the world.
Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce, SRCIC, was founded under the aegis of the International Chamber of Commerce in 2015 to promote business projects within the Silk Road Economic Belt and work on the development of the Digital Silk Road. The SRCIC is headquartered in Hong Kong. Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce is chaired by Lu Jianzhong, head of China’s Tang West Market Group that is engaged in the development of the Silk Road Economic belt projects on China’s part.
