MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus will take part in the 8th international conference and exhibition Coins 2017 in Moscow on 22-23 September, BelTA learned from the information and public relations department of the National Bank.
The Belarusian central bank will present an exposition of commemorative and bullion (investment) coins and commemorative banknotes. A report on monetary stories will be read out during the conference.
The international conference and exhibition Coins is a professional platform to discuss monetary market prospects, share experience with counterparts and business partners. The forum gathers representatives of the national and commercial banks, mints, auction houses, coin distributors, coin packaging and accessories producers.
The forum will name the winners of the Monetary Constellation 2017 competition, the only international competition among commemorative coins issued by emission centers of different countries.
The first commemorative coins of Belarus were issued on 27 December 1996. Since then, the National Bank has released more than 350 descriptions as part of 39 series and independent releases. In the production of commemorative coins the National Bank cooperates with the mints of Bulgaria, the UK, Germany, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Finland, and Switzerland.
