MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – Belarus’ First Deputy Industry Minister Aleksandr Ogorodnikov hosted the fourth meeting of the Belarus-Cambodia committee on trade and economic cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Industry Ministry.
The Kingdom of Cambodia was represented at the meeting by Tekreth Kamrang, Secretary of State of Commerce.
Opening the meeting, Aleksandr Ogorodnikov spoke highly of the committee’s contribution to strengthening cooperation between the two states. “We attach great importance to joint intergovernmental committees and consider them as effective mechanisms for maintaining comprehensive partnerships,” the first deputy industry minister remarked.
The parties deem it necessary to make the most of the cooperation potential, to look for opportunities to expand business contacts, and to explore new mutually beneficial areas of economic cooperation.
They also discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, primarily in trade and economy, and exchanged views on a wide range of avenues of cooperation, including in agriculture, healthcare and science.
Following the talks, the Belarus-Cambodia committee on trade and economic cooperation signed a protocol.
