MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Belarus held a Business Day event at the international engineering fair MSV 2018 in the Czech city of Brno, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The international conference “Business Day of the Republic of Belarus” was organized during the 60th International Engineering Exhibition MSV 2018. The event was attended by a Belarusian delegation headed by Evgeny Shestakov, Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, co-chairman of the Belarusian-Czech mixed commission on economic, industrial and technological cooperation. The delegation is visiting Czechia on 3-5 October.
The Business Day was also attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, co-chairman of the Belarusian-Czech mixed commission on economic, industrial and technological cooperation Eduard Muiicky, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Miloslav Stasek, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for th eCIS countries Frantisek Masopust, and representatives of more than 40 Czech companies. The event featured the presentations on the economic potential of Belarus and Belarusian-Czech regional cooperation, in particular Minsk Oblast.
On the sidelines of the conference Evgeny Shestakov met with Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Martin Tlapa to discuss the status and prospects for joint projects. The Made in Belarus collective exposition is showcasing petrochemical and steel products from Belneftekhim Concern and Belarusian Steel Mill, and research developments from the National Academy of Sciences Belarus.
