MINSK, 2 September (BelTA) – A new residential complex in Zaovrazhye built by Belarusian specialists has been inaugurated in Obninsk, Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Construction and Architecture Ministry.
The ceremony was attended by Belarus’ Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich and acting Kaluga Oblast Governor Vladislav Shapsha.
The new residential complex was built using the latest technologies and materials. It consists of two houses for 473 apartments of 24 different layouts. The complex features recreation areas, children's playgrounds and workout zones, parking spaces, and an arboretum park. The complex boasts a barrier-free environment for people with disabilities, and also a “smart home” concept featuring an access control system, a modern lighting system, Wi-Fi, a mobile application with many useful and convenient functions for residents.
According to the press service, the Belarusian builders plan to build the second phase of the project on a nearby site, which will include 10 houses.
During a visit to the residential complex, Vladislav Shapsha said that Kaluga Oblast cooperates with Belarus in various areas, such as engineering and trade. In his opinion, the biggest achievements have been made in the construction industry so far. “This is the best example of urban construction, landscaping and the implementation of the “smart home” system. I am sure it is not the last house to be constructed by Belarusian builders in Kaluga,” he said.
Ruslan Parkhamovich thanked Vladislav Shapsha for high appreciation of the work and expressed readiness to continue mutually beneficial cooperation.
Russia implements important projects with the participation of organizations of the Construction and Architecture Ministry, and Belstroycenter Holding Company, in particular. In 2013-2019, Belarusian organizations built 20 houses In Kaluga Oblast with a total area of more than 100,000 square meters in the residential complexes Malinovka, Malinovka-2, Vesnushki, Belorusskiy Kvartal, "Annenki", Prosto Kosmos. The second phase of the residential complex Belorusskiy Kvartal was opened in Obninsk. The development concept is based on the principles of safe and comfortable living environment with the implementation of innovative technologies.
Today, Belarusian specialists are building schools for 1,000 students in Obninsk, Medyn and Kondrovo, and also a pre-school educational organization in Dubrava District in Kaluga.
