MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – The development of the inter-parliamentary and interregional cooperation between Belarus and Brazil was discussed at a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Brazil Alexander Tserkovsky and member of the parliamentary friendship group Brazil-Belarus, Senator of the Federal Senate of the National Congress of Brazil Ana Amelia Lemos, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the issues related to the development of cooperation between Belarus and the State of Rio Grande do Sul in trade and economic sector, and also the establishment of interregional cooperation between Gomel Oblast and the Brazilian state.

The parties also showed interest in developing inter-parliamentary contacts between the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and the Federal Senate of the National Congress of Brazil.
