Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina to step up political, trade and economic cooperation

MOSCOW, 20 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina intend to step up political, trade and economic cooperation. The matters were discussed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Russian Federation Mustafa Mujezinovic in Moscow on 20 March, the press service of the Belarusian embassy told BelTA.

The sides discussed the invigoration of Belarusian-Bosnian cooperation in politics, trade and economic affairs as well as the advancement of the legal base the bilateral relations rely on.

Belarus established diplomatic relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina on 22 November 1993. In 2016 trade between the two countries totaled $9.7 million.
