Belarus’ BMZ ships over 800,000t of innovative products in January-September

GOMEL, 24 October (BelTA) – In January-September, Belarusian Steel Works (BMZ trademark) produced and shipped more than 170 types of innovative products, Deputy Director General for Hardware Production Igor Chernyavsky said as he met with the staff of one of the workshops, BelTA reports.

According to Igor Chernyavsky, in January - September the enterprise produced more than 1.7 million tonnes of steel. “The increase was 19%. Despite a number of difficulties, the factory continues to run at a profit. We see positive dynamics in many areas,” he said.

The deputy director general emphasized that the company’s products are in demand and the situation at the enterprise is stable. “The factory is consistently exploring new markets and expanding its presence on existing ones, continuing its scientific and technical research and development efforts. Thus, in January - September, the company manufactured and shipped 173 types of innovative products to the amount of more than 800,000 tonnes. Of these, 116 types were developed in 2023,” he explained.

The public joint-stock company (OAO) BMZ, the Management Company of the holding company Belarusian Metallurgical Company (BMC), is a high-tech Belarusian metallurgical enterprise. It comprises infrastructure shops and four manufacturing divisions connected by one technological chain. The divisions focus on steel smelting, mill products, pipe products, hardware items.
