BAKU, 28 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Azerbaijan will open trading houses in each other’s territories. Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev made the statement for mass media during the visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to Azerbaijan on 28 November, BelTA has learned.
Ilham Aliyev noted: “Today we’ve decided to set up an Azerbaijani trading house in Belarus and a Belarusian trading house in Azerbaijan. We are lagging behind Belarusians in this matter. They already have retail outlets of their own in Azerbaijan while we are just making plans to open them.”
The Azerbaijan President pointed out that the fact that the two countries do not compete with each other on the market is precious for the relations between the two countries. “This is why we have agreed to put efforts into exercising control and opening new cooperation avenues in order to raise the trade turnover,” concluded Ilham Aliyev.
