BAKU, 28 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Azerbaijan aim for $700 million in bilateral trade, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko told reporters during his visit to Azerbaijan on 28 November.
“We make no secret of the fact that our trade and economic cooperation has declined recently against the backdrop of the global crisis. Today we have agreed that we can reach $700 million in bilateral trade next year. This is almost twice as much as we had in our best year,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
The Belarusian leader emphasized that there is untapped potential in the cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan. Belarus is ready to strengthen its ties with Azerbaijan in agriculture, build state-of-the-art plants and increase the presence of its products in the markets.
