MINSK, 10 May (BelTA) - On 3-4 May, a delegation of Belarusian Railways took part in the second international conference and exhibition "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development 2023" in Ashgabat, BelTA learned from the press center of the Belarusian Railways.
The delegation was led by First Deputy Head of Belarusian Railways Piotr Dulub. "Representatives of the Belarusian rail operator took part in a session ‘Transport and logistics connectivity in the modern economy" that highlighted the development of international transport corridors, including the North-South transport corridor, the role of multimodality in transport and logistics, cooperation with international organizations in creating favorable conditions for the transport system in order to achieve sustainable development and many other issues,” Belarusian Railways noted.
Piotr Dulub spoke about the role of Belarusian Railways in ensuring sustainable cargo traffic and economic development of international transport corridors, drew attention to the need to form new logistics schemes for the transportation of goods along the North-South transport corridor, and also reaffirmed Belarusian Railways’ commitment to discussing topical issues of cooperation and developing joint projects.
A memorandum was signed on the development of cooperation between Belarusian Railways and Turkmen Railways in the field of railway transport.
