Belarus attaches priority attention to economic cooperation with Serbia

BELGRADE, 18 April (BelTA) – Belarus attaches priority attention to cooperation with Serbia in the trade and economic sector, with business contacts being one of the main constituents, Belarus’ Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Minister Vladimir Koltovich said at a meeting of the business council on cooperation between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia on 18 April, BelTA has learned.

The minister took note of the recent positive momentum in the bilateral visits at the supreme and high levels. The visit of the Belarusian delegation to Belgrade and the meeting of the business council and the intergovernmental Belarus-Serbia commission on trade and economic cooperation are a logic continuation of intensive interstate dialogue which will help fulfill the potential of the Belarusian-Serbian cooperation.

“Businessmen should cooperate, while politicians should create favorable conditions for them. Belarus has all necessary doing business conditions, including guaranteed property and investment protection. We do not create any barriers while implementing joint mutually beneficial projects,” Vladimir Koltovich stressed.

According to the minister, Belarus has ranked 37th among 190 countries in the recent World Bank Doing Business report, making it into the top ten countries with the most improved economies.
