MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – Ambassador of Belarus to Indonesia and Belarus’ resident representative in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Vladimir Lopato-Zagorsky met with ASEAN Deputy Secretary General Lim Hong Hin on 13 May, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Indonesia told BelTA.

During the meeting the sides reached an agreement to jointly consider possibilities for establishing cooperation in agriculture and in the fight against slave trade. The sides also spoke about prospects of cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and ASEAN, BelTA has been told.

Apart from that, ASEAN Deputy Secretary General Lim Hong Hin informed about plans to create the ASEAN Community by the end of 2015.
