MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian export of armaments and military hardware will exceed $1 billion in 2018, Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus Roman Golovchenko said in an interview to the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“In January-October 2018 we almost reached the export of $1 billion. If everything goes according to the plan, the arms export will exceed $1 billion by the end of the year,” Roman Golovchenko said.
According to him, Belarus cooperates with more than 60 countries in the military technical sector. “There are states that buy a lot of Belarusian armaments. They are happy with such cooperation, as we offer an acceptable scheme for our foreign partners. We are very flexible in responding to different wishes. Many of our samples of weapons and military hardware match international analogues or even better in quality and reliability,” said Roman Golovchenko.
The chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee cited Belarus’ latest novelties in electronic warfare as an example. They have already been tested, including in combat conditions. “Those who use them say that the effect is exactly the one which is promised in their tactical and technical characteristics,” he said.
