MOSCOW, 5 October (BelTA) - Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi is paying a working visit to Russia’s Vologda Oblast on 4-5 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the diplomatic mission.

“Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi met with Governor of the Russian region Oleg Kuvshinnikov to discuss the status and prospects of cooperation in most sectors: from traditional supplies of Belarusian agricultural machinery and grain drying complexes, seed material to the production of mixed fodder using advanced Belarusian technologies, participation in the logging and reforestation programs with the use of Belarusian-made machinery,” the press service said. “The parties also paid attention to the expansion of bilateral cooperation with the participation of one of the Russian flagships of foundry production - Cherepovets Casting and Mechanical Plant. It turned out that not only steelmakers, but also many other industrial enterprises of Vologda Oblast were interested in the products of Belarusian machine-tool enterprises.”

Dmitry Krutoi and Oleg Kuvshinnikov considered the prospects of expanding cooperation in tourism, including with an aim to increase the load of Minsk-Cherpovets direct flights.

“Dmitry Krutoi also met with Vologda Acting Mayor Sergei Burkov to discuss the supply of municipal machinery and elevator equipment, which is topical for any Russian city. Belarusian products have already proved its worth in this Russian region. We are ready to continue discussing the ways to meet the growing needs, the ambassador said. Vologda actively cooperates with Belarusian partners from Mogilev, Grodno and Minsk. Vologda utilities services are studying the Belarusian best practices in housing and public utilities. Belarusians take a regular part in exhibition and fair events of Vologda Oblast,” the embassy said.

Dmitry Krutoi also visited the Vologda State Dairy Academy with the MTZ specialized training room.
