Belagro kicks off in Great Stone park

MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) – The Belagro exhibition kicks off in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, BelTA reports.

This year, the 34th edition of Belagro will be running until 9 June. It will bring together 490 companies from 11 countries, including Belarus, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Germany, China, Pakistan, Türkiye, Vietnam, and Palestine.

The exhibition features collective expositions. Belarusian expositions will take center stage. These include the pavilions of the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belgospischeprom food industry concern, Belcoopsoyuz cooperative society and all regions of Belarus. The exposition of the Russian Federation features 14 stands, including those of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and 13 Russian regions

The exposition of the Industry Ministry is represented by 52 organizations, including the largest Belarusian mechanical engineering manufacturers: MTZ, MAZ, Gomselmash, Amkodor, Bobruiskagromash, Minsk Motor Plant, Lidselmash and others.

The exposition of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus features 45 economic entities with their developments.

The business program of the expo features two dozen conferences and seminars to discuss a wide range of issues, including competitiveness of agricultural products, livestock breeding, crop production and seed production, agricultural mechanical engineering, agricultural education and science, Belarus’ cooperation prospects with countries of near and far abroad, as well as other topical issues.

There will be a competition among pedigree dairy cows, Best Plowman  contest, Champion of Taste tasting competition, a show of pedigree animals and agricultural machinery.

In line with a tradition, music groups will perform on the main stage. Most of the events, including sports activities, are scheduled for 8 June. The Defense Ministry will arrange the Partisan Lawn exposition. There will be entertainment activities for everyone.

Visitors can get to the expo on a free bus that will run from the Mogilevskaya metro station. Admission is free.
