MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) – The 30th edition of the international expo Belagro 2020 has been postponed to 29 September - 4 October, BelTA from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
The expo was supposed to take place on 2-6 June but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic to 1-5 September and then to 22-26 September. Now the dates have been moved for another week.
A meeting of the organizing committee for Belagro 2020 was held in the Agriculture and Food Ministry under the chairmanship of Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Subbotin. The meeting was attended by representatives of ministries, regional authorities, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and heads of enterprises. “The meeting focused on the issues of deployment of exhibits, trade and catering facilities, fire safety, law enforcement, traffic management and a number of other issues,” the press service noted.
The annual forum summarizes international experience in agro-industrial engineering and serves to find innovative solutions in the field of environmentally friendly materials and waste-free technologies. The Agriculture and Food Ministry annually organizes a special expo to showcase the achievements of Belarusian farmers. The latest developments will be demonstrated by the research and practical centers of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
