BARANOVICHI, 29 May (BelTA) – The Baranovichi branch of IOOO BelDan is going to supply products to China. The plans were mentioned by the company’s founder Nikolai Govorko to Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas when the latter was on a tour of the enterprise, BelTA has learned.
Nikolai Govorko said that the enterprise had been working for five months only and can process 1,400 head per shift. “We are talking about Danish genetics, prime-quality bacon pork,” he specified. The enterprise ships 50 tonnes of cooled pork to retailers and to Belarusian meat processing enterprises every day.
“In three to four weeks once we get the declaration, we will ship the first few containers of variety meats, intestines, and innards to the People’s Republic of China. We are going to ship one container per day until we reach the full capacity,” Nikolai Govorko said.
In his words, the enterprise is a top-notch business in accordance with European standards. “It means we fully match a European enterprise in terms of communications, slaughter methods, and waste utilization,” the businessman explained. All the raw materials are delivered to the enterprise from proprietary farms located in Lyakhovichi District, Slonim District, Tolochin District, and Belynichi District. The company intends to build two more farms – in Baranovichi District and in Mogilev Oblast.
The first stage of the enterprise to slaughter and process bacon pork was commissioned in Baranovichi in late December 2018. The industrial process began in January 2019. At present the enterprise employs 85 people, with about 30 people working in the slaughterhouse. In January-April the enterprise made Br9.324 million worth of meat and variety meats.
Nikolai Govorko said: “As much as €9.6 million has been invested in the enterprise, including in the infrastructure, construction and installation work, the technology.” On the whole, the project to start a modern enterprise to process bacon pork in Baranovichi is supposed to run till 2021.
On 29 May Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas also visited Baranovichi Machine-Tool Plant, which is a branch of ZAO Atlant. Sergei Rumas was informed about progress in implementing investment projects designed to start manufacturing highly effective compressors for consumer refrigerators. He was also informed about the introduction of a high-performance technology to make more precise casts out of high-durability cast iron and grey cast iron.
