MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Armenia is interested in buying more Belarusian agricultural machines and fertilizers. Prospects of increasing Belarus’ export to Armenia were discussed during the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Igor Nazaruk and Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan on 17 September, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
The sides discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between Belarus and Armenia in agriculture and forestry and the possibility of increasing the volume of mutual trade in agricultural products. The establishment of enterprises to assemble sophisticated Belarusian machines was discussed along with better maintenance services and harder work for the sake of training agribusiness specialists for Armenia.
BelTA has been told that the sides have come to terms on practical measures meant to expand cooperation in these fields, including as part of the preparations for the next session of the Belarusian-Armenian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
