MINSK, 15 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim expects another tanker of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) carrying oil for Belarus to arrive in Odessa in early August, Aleksandr Tishchenko, Press Secretary of Belneftekhim, told reporters, BelTA has learned.

“This is in line with the schedule for August. The loading and departure from the Port of Supsa (Georgia) is scheduled for 31 July-1 August. The tanker carrying 85,000 tonnes of Azeri Light oil will arrive at the Sea Trade Port Yuzhny on 3-5 August,” Aleksandr Tishchenko informed.

This year SOCAR has sent five tankers with about 420,000 tonnes of oil to Belneftekhim through the Port of Odessa and the Odessa-Brody pipeline. The oil was meant for Mozyr Oil Refinery.

Belneftekhim Chairman Andrei Rybakov was quoted as saying that SOCAR may deliver up to 1 million tonnes of oil to Belarus in 2020.
