Amkodor plans to ship $50m worth of equipment to Bangladesh

MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) - The Belarusian holding company Amkodor plans to ship $50 million worth of equipment to Bangladesh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OAO Amkodor - Management Company of the Holding Company Alexander Shakutin said in a meeting of distributors, dealers and heads of Amkodor’s service centers on 22 January, BelTA has learned.

“We have been actively searching new markets for our products. Not long ago we drew conformation on the acquisition of a $50-million batch from Bangladesh where we will soon open our dealer company. Besides, we have recently opened our firm in Iran. Specialists of the company are completing the registration of a similar organization in Oman,” Alexander Shakutin noted.

Amkodor Holding Company comprises about 40 enterprises and employs about 7,000 people. Amkodor is Belarus and Customs Union leader in manufacturing special-purpose vehicles. Every year the company makes over 5,000 vehicles in accordance with internationally recognized standards. The company produces more than 90 modifications of special-purpose vehicles and sells them to 30 countries.
