MINSK DISTRICT, 11 April (BelTA) - Andrei Yarotsky, General Director of the Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor, told the media about the plans related to the future supplies of the company’s machinery at a seminar on the country’s land reclamation systems on 10 April, BelTA has learned.
“We are now working out the delivery of equipment to Nicaragua. The deputy head of the Belarus President Administration is currently on a visit to that country. We have a contract for the delivery of 260 road-building vehicles to that country. We expect that the current visit will result in a concrete agreement on the implementation of this contract,” Andrei Yarotsky said.
According to him, deliveries of more than 80 units of machinery to Zimbabwe are also under consideration. “Equatorial Guinea is also interested in our forestry machines. We are working on contracts and hope that the first deliveries to Equatorial Guinea, Zimbabwe and Nicaragua will take place this year,” the director general said.
A seminar on the country’s land reclamation systems with the demonstration of Amkodor capabilities was held on 10 April. More than 20 models of AMKODOR special machinery were on display, including new products coming off the assembly line in January-March 2024.
Amkodor is one of the leading manufacturers of the widest model range of modern high-performance special-purpose machinery for all sectors of the economy. In 2023, the company developed 11 new models of special and agricultural machinery. The company launched the production of axles, manipulators, harvester heads, control systems and other components. Amkodor is Belarus’ only manufacturer of land reclamation machinery and single-bucket hydraulic excavators on caterpillar and wheeled tracks.
