NEW DELHI, 27 May (BelTA) - BelAZ rock haulers showed good results during the tests in India, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to India Vitaly Prima told BelTA.
OAO BelAZ seeks to take an active position in the Indian market, clearly realizing its large capacity and potential. In January 2014, after a certain hiatus in the cooperation the Belarusian manufacturer supplied a trial batch of four rock haulers with the payload capacity of 110 tonnes. They are used in coal strip mines by the private company EMTA Cole. Later on BelAZ shipped another six 110-tonne rock haulers to the tune of $5.2 million. The Belarusian side is considering investing in setting up a Belarusian-Indian joint venture that will provide maintenance services to Belarusian trucks working in India. The joint venture is expected to be headquartered in the city of Nagpur (Maharashtra),” the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission informed.
"There is also an active search for the options of cooperation in the area of tractor production. Four Indian companies, potential partners of Minsk Tractor Works, show interest in exploring this venue of cooperation,” Vitaly Prima noted.
