MOSCOW, 8 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi assured Ambassador of Yemen to Russia with concurrent accreditation to Belarus Salem Al-Wahishi of Belarus’ readiness to supply products to help Yemen restore its economy, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission following the meeting of the two ambassadors in Moscow on 7 February.
The parties discussed key issues related to the development of Belarusian-Yemeni relations and cooperation between the two countries in international organizations, and exchanged views on the military, political and humanitarian situation in Yemen.
“Dmitry Krutoi emphasized Belarus’ interest in restoring the position of Yemen as our traditional partner in the Arab world and intensifying the entire range of bilateral relations as the situation in that country normalizes. The Yemeni ambassador said that he had already visited Belarus and met with representatives of state authorities. “He praised the sustainable social and economic development of our country and the efforts of Belarus as a guarantor of international peace and security.
