АКА Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft welcomes growing cooperaiton with Belarus

MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) – Germany’s AKA Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft mbH welcomes the positive dynamics in contacts with Belarus, Belarusbank told BelTA following a meeting between Chairman of the Board of Belarusbank Sergei Pisarik and Managing Director of the German bank Marck Wengrzik in Frankfurt am Main.

“Marck Wengrzik welcomed the positive dynamics in the development of contacts with Belarus and Belarusbank in particular, and hailed its reliability and excellent payment discipline," the press service informed.

The parties discussed the issues of strategic interaction in 2016 and in the near-term perspective. Summing up the outgoing year, Sergei Pisarik thanked the German party for its consistent business policy and expressed satisfaction with the results of cooperation with one of the leading partner banks.

AKA Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft mbH is a specialized financial institution located in Frankfurt am Main to finance German exports. It was founded in 1952. Its shareholders are 19 banks, including Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank, Unicredit Bank AG, Bayerische Landesbank, Landesbank Berlin, KFV.

All in all, Belarusbank and AKA Consortium have concluded the agreements on tied long-term financing to the tune of approximately €366 million (the first transaction was made in 2000). AKA Consortium is a participant of the trade finance and syndicated loan market.

Belarusbank is the largest universal financial institution in Belarus, which offers more than 100 types of banking products and services. According to the annual Top 1000 World Banks list 2014 issued by The Banker (Financial Times), Belarusbank received the title of bank No.1 in Belarus in terms of the size of Tier 1 capital and is 12th on the list of 25 biggest banks of Central and Eastern Europe.
