CHERVEN DISTRICT, 18 April (BelTA) – An additional set of measures to prop up the economy is under discussion in Belarus, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko told journalists during the nationwide subbotnik on 16 April, BelTA has learned.
“I will not reveal the details now: it is not in our tradition to announce documents or decisions that have not been adopted yet. But the work is in full swing. At the end of last week, a new package of measures was discussed at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers. It will be an even more effective tool to support the country’s economy”, Roman Golovchenko said.
According to him, the proposed measures seek to boost not only business or the real sector of the economy, but also the social sphere.
“These measures are now being assessed and calculated. I think that they will be submitted for consideration to the head of state soon. The work is ongoing. In addition to systemic decisions that cover a wide range of businesses and households, we take targeted measures on individual enterprises or economic sectors every day. We are responding to existing challenges,” the prime minister said.
