MINSK, 2 November (BelTA) – The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, OAO Gazprom Transgaz Belarus, and OOO Gazprom VNIIGAZ have signed an agreement and a memorandum of cooperation, OAO Gazprom Transgaz Belarus representatives told BelTA.
Initiated by OAO Gazprom Transgaz Belarus, the agreement and the memorandum provide for expanding cooperation of Belarusian and Russian scientists in developing new import-substituting products for the gas industry. And for their assimilation into business operations of Gazprom’s daughter enterprise in Belarus.
Director General of OAO Gazprom Transgaz Belarus Vladimir Mayorov noted: “These documents open new opportunities for R&D cooperation, technological development, and import substitution. The development of the gas fuel market will be one of the cooperation avenues. Companies of the Gazprom group in Belarus and Russia are putting efforts into it.”
Director General Gazprom VNIIGAZ Maxim Nedzvetskiy said: “We are optimistic about the future. And I am convinced that our cooperation will be fruitful and productive.”
Academic Secretary of the Department of Physical and Technical Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Professor Sergei Shcherbakov said: “The projects we’ve decided to discuss first focus on import substitution and breakthrough R&D. I am convinced that we will successfully accomplish these two tasks together with colleagues.”
