MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – The dialog of economy ministries is an effective platform to promote cooperation between Belarus and Russia, Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Alesya Abramenko said during a working meeting with Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach on 26 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry.
The meeting was held via video-conference and focused on topical issues of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation.
According to Alesya Abramenko, the Belarusian-Russian cooperation shows positive dynamics. Mutual trade was up by 6.4% in the half-year period.
The parties highlighted the importance of joint work to support small and medium-sized enterprises in the Union State. "The legislation of Belarus and Russia regulating the rules of obtaining licenses and implementation of administrative procedures for business has been analyzed. Consultations on mutual recognition of data from license registers will continue. The upcoming three-year period includes the creation of a single catalog of the Union State’s franchises, the exchange of experience in the creation of digital platforms for entrepreneurs," Alesya Abramenko said.
During the meeting the parties discussed promising areas of experience exchange between Moscow technoparks and Belarusian technoparks, plans to increase supplies of Belarusian agricultural and petrochemical products to the Russian market, to intensify investment cooperation.
Special attention was paid to the assessment of economic benefits from the implementation of 28 Union State programs, which is stipulated by the Decree of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.
The parties agreed to hold a joint meeting of the boards of Belarus’ Economy Ministry and Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development.
