Belorusneft opens the first superfast charging station complex in Minsk
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft opened the first superfast charging station complex at 6 Napoleona Ordy Street in Minsk on 27 December 2022. All the equipment, technologies and software are Belarus-made. This project is unique in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Various foreign companies as well as EAEU countries are interested in the technologies in use. Belarus has already decided to scale the project throughout the country. By 2030 as many as 87 superfast charging complexes, including bigger ones, will be built under the program on building the state charging network for charging electric vehicles. “Electric vehicles have to be refueled as fast as conventional cars. This facility boasts a charging station with the output capacity of 350kW. Within 10 minutes it can charge an electric car enough for driving 300km. Moreover, the facility uses dynamic distribution of power between charging units. In other words, the system’s optimal output is distributed depending on the number of electric cars,” Andrei Kotik, Deputy Director General of the Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft, noted.
