Political relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus are at a high level, Azerbaijan’s First Vice Premier Yaqub Eyyubov said during a solemn reception on the occasion of Belarus’ Independence Day in Baku, Trend News Agency reports

On behalf of the Government of Azerbaijan Yaqub Eyyubov wished Happy Independence Day to the brotherly country and brotherly Belarusian people. “I wish to express my satisfaction with the high level of political dialogue between Belarus and Azerbaijan. The relations between our two countries are based on honesty, respect, integrity, reliability, and brotherhood. I would like to emphasize that the basis of all of these is the relations between two Presidents: Alexander Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev,” Yaqub Eyyubov said.

The two countries can boast good results in the field of trade and economic relations, Azerbaijan’s First Vice Premier noted. “In 2015 the trade increased by more than 30% over 2014. Over 250 enterprises and companies are involved in the trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus. The two countries trade across more than 300 commodity positions. We will continue to develop and improve the economic relations,” Yaqub Eyyubov said added.
