Wiktorin: Belarus-EU dialogue is moving in the right direction
MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – The dialogue between Belarus and the European Union is moving in the right direction, Head of the European Union Delegation to Belarus Andrea Wiktorin said at the Minsk forum Belarus-Germany-EU: Prospects for European Neighborhood and Security on 24 November.
Andrea Wiktorin stated that Belarus and the European Union have made great headway in improving mutual relations in the past two years. She emphasized the readiness of both the sides to discuss difficult issues. The Head of the European Union Delegation to Belarus took note of the progress made in bilateral environmental and regional cooperation, migration management.
Andrea Wiktorin added that the EU delegation is set to visit Minsk in early December.
The Minsk forum, which is running from 24-26 November, has been organized by the German-Belarusian Society, the Johannes Rau Education Center in Minsk and the Discussion and Analytical Society Liberal Club. The conference is held under the auspices of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
