MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – Belarus is coping well with the coronavirus at this moment, World Health Organisation representative Dr Margaret Harris told the ONT TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“I can say that you are doing well in Belarus at the early stage. You have no deaths, some people have recovered and this is a good sign. It is important that you have enough qualified and well-trained doctors. As far as I know, all precautions are in place here, in particular, for those who work. You can test people and isolate them in hospitals. However, the most important goal is to stem coronavirus spread. You are coping well with it,” Margaret Harris underlined.
The WHO representative also touched upon the economic aspect. “It is very important to keep the economy going as much as possible. Of course, this is a crisis, a healthcare crisis, however life should go on. Businesses, companies – everything should remain afloat. They just need to get adjusted,” Margaret Harris noted.
