MOSCOW, 10 June (BelTA) – Vitebsk is ready to host the 24th edition of the international art festival Slavonic Bazaar scheduled for 9-13 July, director of the festival Alexander Sidorenko said at a press conference in Moscow on 10 June, BelTA has learned.
“Almost everything is ready. The program of the festival is complete. Ticket sale is going at full speed,” Alexander Sidorenko noted.
The main program of the festival features 95 events, including 18 concerts to be held on the stage of the Summer Amphitheater. Traditionally, the program of the festival will include theatrical performances, the Puppet Quarter project, international contests, and a number of new projects.
Alexander Sidorenko pointed out that some concerts are already completely sold out, and around 50,000 tickets have found their owners. Thanks to the online ticketing system, today tickets can be purchased from any country.
Alexander Sidorenko stressed that this year’s edition of the festival is expected to become 80% self-supporting. The Belarusian government provides great assistance to its organizers. In his words, the overall cost the festival totals around $3.5 million.
