MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) - U.S. Representative for the 48th District of California Dana Rohrabacher welcomed Belarus’ contribution to solving the situation in Ukraine. He made the statement at the meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on 3 August, BelTA has learned.

We should interact and cooperate. Today we need to ensure peace and wellbeing around the world. We will achieve this if our governments develop cooperation, he noted.

For example, Mr Dana Rohrabacher said that he would like to cooperate with Belarus in order to work out recommendations on how to restore peace in Ukraine. I would like to acknowledge the positive contribution of the Belarusian authorities to bring peace and resolve the conflict in Ukraine, he noted.
