MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – Belarusian-Chinese relations have reached an unprecedentedly high level of development, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming. The ambassador met with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 24 September on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in Belarus.
The ambassador said that Chinese-Belarusian relations are going through the best period of history now. The two countries frequently exchange visits of high-ranking delegations. Political mutual trust grows stronger all the time. China President Xi Jinping and Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko have established good working relations and personal friendship and continuously give a new impulse to the development of Chinese-Belarusian relations.
Cui Qiming stressed that cooperation between Belarus and China in trade, economy, military technology, science, education, and other spheres as well as within the framework of the Belt and Road initiative had reached an unprecedentedly high level. The China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone has become an exemplary project of the Belt and Road initiative. China’s aid has played an important role in Belarus’ economic and social development, the diplomat noted. He drew attention to mutual support of the two countries in many matters.
He also mentioned that honor guard units of the People’s Liberation Army of China had participated in Independence Day parades in Belarus for two years in a row.
