MOSCOW, 9 October (BelTA) – The Union State of Belarus and Russia can serve as an example of building equal relations between the countries, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said after he received the Order of St Andrew the Apostle the First-Called from Russia President Vladimir Putin in an official ceremony in the Kremlin on 9 October, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian head of state noted that Belarus and Russia are developing their unique integration union. According to him, there is no alternative to such a policy amid the aggravated and escalating international situation.
"The Union State may serve as an example of new equal relations," Aleksandr Lukashenko stated. "We have grown from the common state and have not lost our common heritage. Our relations can be an example for any states."
