MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – The 26th Minsk International Book Fair has been arranged at the highest level, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Belarus Igor Kizim told BelTA.
“Participation in such projects provides great promotion opportunities for any country. Ukraine has interesting things to show. Our stand says it all. Of course, the assessment can be made only by visitors who will see our books and other Ukrainian products. I would like to praise the high level of event planning at the book forum,” Igor Kizim said.
In his words, such projects introduce people to other cultures. “Expos like this also help Belarusians learn more about Ukraine. Any communication between authors, readers has a positive impact,” he emphasized.
The 26th Minsk International Book Fair is held under the slogan "More Than Books" from 6 to 10 February. Its main venue is the exposition complex at 14 Pobediteley Avenue. The Minsk International Book Fair features over 400 exhibitors from 35 countries. Some 60,000 people are expected to visit the fair. The organizers of the Minsk International Book Fair are the Information Ministry, the Minsk City Hall and the Belarusian Union of Writers. Co-organizers are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Education Ministry, the Culture Ministry, Belkniga and Makbel book selling companies.
