MINSK, 10 March (BelTA) – Participants of the conference, Death Penalty: Transcending the Divide, which is underway in Minsk, should share any of their experience and opinion, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Belarus Fionna Gibb said on 10 March, BelTA has learned.

“It is extremely important that we are holding open debates today,” the diplomat added.

Fionna Gibb thanked the UNDP office and the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the organization of the conference which is taking place in Minsk with the financial support from the British embassy in Belarus.
