MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – Turkey together with Belarus will keep actively working to implement the agreements at the highest level, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu said at an extended-participation meeting with Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei on 28 August, BelTA has learned.
“Belarus is a friendly nation for us. Today we are focusing on the areas that can strengthen bilateral ties,” Mevlut Cavusoglu said.
He believes that the presidents of the two states laid a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation. Work is underway to implement the agreements reached at the highest level, including the arrangement of mutual visits, bilateral talks at various levels, sessions of joint working groups and commissions.
Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu is on an official visit to Belarus on 27-28 August. Early on 28 August he met with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko where the parties reaffirmed commitment to promoting mutually beneficial contacts.
