MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) - Thailand is interested in the investment and military cooperation with Belarus. Vice Premier and Defense Minister of Thailand Prawit Wongsuwan said at the meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 26 February, BelTA has learned.
Prawit Wongsuwan noted that Thailand is interested in the military cooperation with Belarus and wanted to get familiar with the Belarusian military equipment.
He believes that Belarus and Thailand need to speed up the development of agreements in investment and trade. Prawit Wongsuwan agreed with Alexander Lukashenko that the countries should increase bilateral trade and that it is needed to set up an intergovernmental commission. It will help enhance Belarus-Thailand cooperation and relations.
The Thailand official thanked the Belarusian side for the warm welcome and expressed hope that the dialogue and cooperation will be continued.
