MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Chinese culture is of great interest to Belarus, Belarusian Culture Minister Boris Svetlov said on 24 February at a press conference that opened a series of events to celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival, BelTA has learned.
Boris Svetlov emphasized the importance of the Belarusian-Chinese cultural cooperation that started developing virtually from the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The culture minister believes that tangible results have been achieved over the 24 years of cooperation. Belarus and China actively exchange Days of Culture that, by the way, were organized last year and had great success.
Boris Svetlov pointed out that he is always interested to learn more about both ancient and modern Chinese culture. The minister noted that he looks at many arts “through the prism of intangible cultural heritage.”
Boris Svetlov told Chinese journalists that he likes to watch TV programs about Chinese culture.
