Sleniene: Slavonic Bazaar is a unique festival on a global scale
VITEBSK, 8 July (BelTA) – The International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk is a unique festival on a global scale, Mariana Sleniene, the organizer of international festivals (Lithuania), said at the conference "Festival movement. Traditions and innovations”, BelTA has learned.
“Slavonic Bazaar is the festival of the highest level. There are no other forums of this kind in the world. There were some attempts in Jurmala, but it was a completely different direction. It did not have the concept of friendship. People just came to sing there, to spend time. Vitebsk gathers friends, likeminded people,” Mariana Sleniene noted.
It was the first time the international conference of festival organizers "Festival movement. Traditions and innovations” was held in Vitebsk during the Slavonic Bazaar festival. The event was attended by representatives of Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Israel, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Macedonia and other countries.
