MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) - The Minsk platform is in demand for the development of dialogue on security, Speaker of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko said at the meeting of the second session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus of the eighth convocation on 14 November, BelTA has learned.
According to him, the Minsk platform has once again become in high demand for the development of dialogue on security. “At the 2nd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, the head of state spoke about things that are simple and understandable to every sensible person on the planet Earth - peace, respect for the national dignity of their partners, the benefits of mutual understanding, trust and equitable cooperation,” Igor Sergeyenko said. “That is why the idea of developing a Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st century is of great interest to many today, not only to the countries of the global South, but also to the West. Our recent contacts with MPs of Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovakia, and also the Asian and African countries testify to this fact.”
“Undoubtedly, the strengthening of Belarus' international image cannot but worry those who deny our right to pursue an independent domestic and foreign policy. We can see that our enemies will again try to use the current election campaign to destabilize the situation in the country,” the speaker said.
