MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) - The process of adopting a visa facilitation agreement between Belarus and the European Union will not last for a long time, Head of the European Union's Delegation to Belarus Dirk Schuebel said in an interview with the ONT TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“I think we will hear good news in the near future," Dirk Schuebel said. “I cannot say now when exactly the agreement comes into force but I assure you that the process will not take long.”
According to him, specialists are already working on the document, but this is quite a difficult process as the EU includes 28 countries, and participants should take into account all mechanisms in both internal and also external relations.
“When we complete all the procedures, we will be happy to sign an agreement to reduce the cost of single and multiple Schengen visas to €35,” Dirk Schuebel said.
